Spotted this sign outside of a supermarket in Port of Spain, Trinidad's muy kinetic capital. It marked one of those "handicapped" spots, but I think it applies to all of us, doesn't it?

I briefly visited Port of Spain in mid-1990s while working as Radio Officer on the ship SS Stonewall Jackson. An A/B had flipped out and jumped overboard in mid-Atlantic, couple of Mates managed to drag him back onboard but he was totally out of it, big time paranoia, said "they" were trying to kill him. Master declared him psychiatric emergency and arranged to leave him at nearest port with medical facility and cooperative government: Trinidad. Remember place as pretty enough but way too much crime for place so small; reminded me of Rio Haina, Dominican Republic. Really looking forward to new book, your take on Trinidad.
